Whether it’s your first time wearing glasses, you have an updated prescription or you just fancy a change, our team can help. The initial consultation is all about you – your lifestyle, your vision needs and your style preferences. If you’ve had an eye exam with us, the optometrist will also give feedback on the type of glasses you need, for instance, if you require separate reading and long-distance glasses, or if you need prescription sunglasses for driving.

If you already wear glasses, we’ll take a look at your current frames and discuss what you like about them and what you’d prefer to change. If you’re new to glasses, we’ll talk you through the different types and discuss your preferences. We’ll take a look at the styles and colours currently in fashion as well as more timeless designs, and we’ll consider different materials, whether metal or acetate will suit your taste better.

Our dispensing opticians are great at suggesting the right shape of frames to suit your face shape, and can also help you select a colour that will complement your skin and sartorial choices. You’ll get to try on lots of frames so you can see how they look on you and narrow down the choices.

We will, of course, take your budget into consideration. We have a wide selection of frames from different designers with something to suit every budget and taste, so we’re confident we’ll be able to help you choose frames that you’ll love.

Once you’ve chosen your perfect frames, we’ll take some measurements using the Essilor eye ruler to make sure the lenses are made up correctly for the position of your eyes within the frames. We can also talk you through the different lenses and coatings available.
